About Us

Deep in the heart of the Snowdonian Mountains lies a small, picturesque village called Llanberis. In that small, picturesque village called Llanberis is a place where children come to paint squirls and squiggles, circles and wiggles and adults come to indulge their unique creative side. That place is us, Piggery Pottery!

Piggery Pottery is a small, family run business created by Ian and I. Initially born from a love of hand crafting pottery items and a desire to provide ways in which children can explore their imaginations and use their creativeness, Piggery Pottery soon became much larger than we’d ever imagined ourselves! So, when we say we run a small, family business, we actually mean it’s small in size, always growing, but even larger in our hearts.

Here at Piggery Pottery we pride ourselves on hand crafting an enormous range of beautiful pottery pieces all of which our guests can paint how they wish using their vivid imaginations to create a design they can treasure forever.

On the following pages you will find copious amounts of information ranging from the necessities of ‘How much is admission?’ (its free by the way!), ‘Is there any parking?’, ‘How do we get to you?’, ‘What disabled facilities do you have?’, to the more involved,  ‘Do you host children’s parties?’, ‘Are you running any special events?’, ‘How do you throw a pot?’, (more on that one later!).

We have also provided heaps of information about the activities we offer including painting your own pot, pebble painting, canvas painting, mask painting and slate painting and if you find the details about our school trips, team building days, workshop tours, and children’s and evening parties isn’t enough, then you can always contact us here!

Our shop is also a popular place to visit for those who don’t have the time to visit us in person. We can also provide pottery that we paint ourselves which is especially useful if you are searching for a special gift for someone and you don’t have the time to be creative yourself, or if you are looking at buying corporate gifts for your employees.
